I think I must be the only one who didn't go crazy over this article....pondering a response.
I don't think I would say I am crazy about the article, he is just a human writing his thoughts. They are not going to be perfect in every situation. I do appreciate his honesty. I enjoyed reading in words what my thoughts have been as I have watched other parents and different parenting techniques. He had some great points. Now, will I copy this to the letter in my parenting? No. But I will watch and make sure that I have my children's hearts. Not just their actions. Which is what I think he was trying to say.
I guess I just wanted to clarify my reasons of posting it. :) I am interested to see why you didn't like it as I appreciate your knowledge. :)

Sweet friend, I know you weren't saying you were "crazy" about it, and actually, that's fine if you are. :) I read this article some time ago, and now it's everywhere, and perhaps what bothers me most, is how it's being used. You've hit the nail on the head....we've got to have our children's hearts and not be hypocrites who raise Pharisees. Your Mom and Dad have done a beautiful job in making sure of this, by God's grace. Not only do I see four Heckendorn children who are educated, but I see four children who love the LORD. We love y'all, too!!
