It's Here!

It's Here!  Remembering the Alamo  has finally made it!  My dear Friend's 4th published book (this one's a novella) will be entering the world today.  If you are looking for an enjoyable read that isn't heavy, yet isn't boring light fluff go check it out.

Blogs I have recently Enjoyed

I stumbled upon a couple of blogs/blog posts that have been very good.   The first is a blog you should just follow.  This woman has a love for singles and being an encouragement to them.  The two posts that have been neat to me are;

These blog posts have brought up questions I haven't thought about- which is a good post!

The other blog post is by Lady Abigail at Lady Abigail's Soapbox.  It is on the;
patriarchal movement and our daughters.
Lady Abigail really wrote this post well- it is a controversial subject and can easily step on toes.  Although she didn't waver from her opinion, she said it in a very gracious manner- something few bloggers do!  She did a great job of presenting what she has seen over the years.  I value her words as she is someone who has and is living them out.  Rather than someone who has had no experience in the matter.

Go read them and leave a (nice!) comment letting them know what you think! (That is what we all want- lots of comments!!)  Then come back and tell me what you thought of the posts.  :)

Make 'Em Laugh!

If you are wanting a few laughs, make sure you are comfortably seated and watch these videos!  They have become our favorites in a short time!

The first is a comedian, Mark Lowry.  Just hilarious!  Some comedians tend to mock others to be funny and I don't appreciate that.  Mark Lowry doesn't mock (that I've seen), but rather puts things as they are- using himself as an example.  He absolutely loves his momma, which always puts stars for me when they love their family.  :)  He never married and just enjoyed being a gift of laughter to others and using his gifts for God.

Ever heard the song "Mary Did You Know"?  Well, here is the author.  :)

This is my favorite video of his- because it is too true!   It is clean, so grab your siblings to watch.  You know they will hear it and come running right at the middle anyway, so just start out with them!!!! Oh- and your mom because she will appreciate it the most!  Introducing Mark Lowry in "Mommas Had Enough!"

My second video is one we just found today.  We have already watched several of their videos and love them!  Too cute!  Again, these are very clean and your whole family will enjoy them.  :)

180 Movie

Did you know there is a holocaust going on in America today?  We talk about it all the time.  We don't use that word for it, there is another term used to make it "politically correct". 

If you don't know what I am talking about, watch this video.  (for age 14+ unless edited by parents.  Talks about adultery, etc.)

Molotov Mitchell

If you haven't ever watched this guys video's, you should.  He is great!  He gets a good point across with his sarcasm making it hilarious!  Take the time to watch a few of his video's, he is funny. 

This is one that I thought was funny as well as good.  Sometimes we make Jesus out to be this big sissy when He truly wasn't.  I thought Mitchell makes a good point about it.

The Amazing, Extraordinary, Spectacular....

DNA!!!

Here our wonderful Creator made something that we can hardly compete with.  We can't even make a computer that small- let alone complex!  I stand in awe every time I read how amazing our bodies are- and we didn't even think it up!

We get the Answers in Genesis magazine which is just amazing.  If you don't get it, you should check it out.  The earth is an amazing thing which is fun to learn about.  AIG gives you that from a Biblical, literal 6-day creation standpoint.  Wonderful, wonderful.

My brother, Caleb, came running in telling us about the thousands of sizes thinner than human hair, and that you can put a pin-pricks knowledge in books from the moon and back 500 times. 

Needless to say, we didn't believe him. 

So he promptly ran and grabbed the magazine and read us the artivle. His exuberance reading the article was wonderful. I wish you could have seen him.  It was priceless.

Mercy Me

Inspired Magazine

This is a magazine that I am a part of as a photographer.  It is a Christian magazine for young ladies somewhere in their teen years.  (although they are letting me on the team, so I am sure they would love to have older ladies as well. :) )  They are just getting started and should have their first mag out about April.  They are not printing, just sending it via e-mail. 

If you are a young lady that would be interested in sending in writings, helping edit, doing photography, or any web design, they are still on the lookout!  Just go here and check out their application form.  I really think this will be a neat magazine, and the more people you have helping make it the better it will become, but you also need someone to read it!  So go sign up!!!    Here is the bio they have on their webpage...

How Inspired Started

Inspired magazine was started by Maggie in August of 2010 when she noticed a need for wholesome, Christian magazines. Maggie hopes to see the magazine grow as it is in God's hands and also be able to expand the magazine as the minitry continues to grow.

Mission

1. To encourage girls in their walk with Christ and teach them to glorify the Lord in everything they say and do.

2. To create a magazine in which girls all over the world will enjoy and share with their friends, sisters, mom, and more.

3. To inspire girls to reach out and accomplish their dreams for the honor and glory of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
