We are actually getting something we haven't had since November (if our calculations are correct). Moisture. We are Raining here! So far we have had about 3 tenths and it is still stormy. Thank you Lord!
Another beautiful thing we get to see today was a rainbow. I thought it quite funny that I had just read about God's promise proclaimed through our beauty. One of God's unfailing promises. Praise Him for those- for I can't keep my promises like that.
Wondering at our GOD,

What Do You Think?
I found this quote in one of my notebooks. I thought it rather thought-provoking.
What do you think this means?
In Christ,
Rebecca
"The apple tree doesn't make an apple by thinking/becoming
an apple; it does so by becoming a tree."
What do you think this means?

Sewing Days
We have some good friends who live on a farm and grow some wonderful beans and corn! The young ladies of the said family asked Sarah and I to help them learn to quilt. We have now had 2 sewing get-togethers and have finally finished 1 quilt top! (When you get 5 girls together it is hard to stay concentrated on the sewing that needs to be done....) We have watched many, many movies. Ate waaayyy too much! had lots of junk food, and in general, had a fabulous time. :D They have another house on their farm, and we were able to use my Nana's house while she went to Washington to visit my aunt and uncle.
I am not sure how much they learned, but we did have fun. Here are some pictures from our last get-together.
Here are the blocks all finished. We made a scrappy quilt with all of their scraps! It sure turned out really cute. :) For the finished quilt we just added some big blocks of material.

We played on my Nana's Wii game.
Getting some Sewing done
Sarah made her wonderful muffins! (You should post the recipe!)
All of our "Junk" food! I think we will not do as much next time.....
The Finished product! This is one of the young ladies....
And this is Sarah's.
We sure had a great time. We need to get together again (or twice!) to finish quilting. I don't know what we will do next! It is a really fun time to be able to get together with other godly young women and do a project and just have some fun together. It was fun.
In Christ's Amazing Love,
Rebecca
P.S. I have not added any faces of the young ladies as there has been a hijacker going around and stealing people's faces to do ungodly things. (I tried to do Sarah's blurry). If you notice friends saying nasty things on your blog it may be the hijacker. ~RLH

What Makes a Dad
I thought this was so cute and very appropriate!
What Makes A Dad
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad

The Diary of an Old Soul
A Dear Friend recommended this book to me so I bought it. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, but I have really enjoyed it! It is by George MacDonald (How can you go wrong there?!) and is 366 poems. One for each day of the year.
Here are a couple that were really soothing the other day after the news of the ranch.
'Tis that I am not good--that is enough;
I pry no farther--that is not the way.
Here, O my potter, is they making stuff!
Set thy wheel going; let it whir and play.
The chips in me, the stones, the straws, the sand,
Cast them out with fine separating hand,
And make a vessel of Thy yielding clay.
Only, my God, see thou that I content Thee-
Oh, take thy own content upon me, God!
Ah, never, never, sure, wilt thou repent thee,
That thou hast called thy Adam from the clod!
Yet must I mourn that thou shouldst ever find me
One moment sluggish, needing more of the rod
Than thou didst think when thy desire designed me.
Isn't that beautiful? It sets so many things back into perspective. It doesn't help the ache, but it does make you realize that every scratch and hurt is just making a beautiful design that only the Master can see.
If you haven't read George MacDonald I really recommend him. Even his fiction have many nuggets of gold to chew and think upon.
Blessings!

I've Gone Etsy!
If you have never heard of Etsy, you should go check it out. It is a really neat website. A good way to explain it is as a Internet shopping mall and individual people (like me!) sell their special wares in their own "shop". I have found some beautiful skirts and dresses, lots of earrings, cards, pictures, decor, antiques, trinkets, jewelry, mugs, plates, pens, etc. etc. etc. You can find just about anything on there! I already have a list for things to buy people for Christmas. :)
Do I sound like I am selling a bit? Ha ha, well, I am. I have my own "shop" up on Etsy! I have really enjoyed doing weddings and other photo shoots, but I haven't had that many at the moment. I am not ready to push it and get it going full time yet. I did think that I could sell my pictures that turn out the best. So I signed up with Etsy. I am excited and nervous about it. It is always hard to know what other people will buy. So I am just going to put different ones up and see which ones sell!
I do have a long post coming out with what else has been fun in my life. (ha). I do covet your prayers on the ranch. We got the appraisal in and it wasn't what we were wanting. Now it is time to rethink what we are going to do. Not fun. Please be praying for my parents especially. They are the ones to have to come up with a game plan.
I hope you all are doing well! For those of you who have blogs I am keeping up with you. :)
Blessings,
Rebecca
