What Do You Think?

I found this quote in one of my notebooks.  I thought it rather thought-provoking.

"The apple tree doesn't make an apple by thinking/becoming
an apple; it does so by becoming a tree."

What do you think this means?

In Christ,
Rebecca

It is thought provoking.....and I'm not sure if I'm on the right track, but to me it means this: the apple tree has a job - being a tree. When it does that well, it will produce the fruit that GOD created it to make. I want to do wonderful things for GOD, but I was created to commune and enjoy GOD forever. Once I do this wholeheartedly, then I will do great things for GOD because the doing will be a natural outcome of our deepening relationship.

I look forward to see what others say.... LOVE YOU!!!

Yeah, I like that! And I like what your mom says. Sometimes we focus too much on apparent results and not enough on inherent possibilities.

I think your Mom did a good job of summarizing it. So many people prefer to sit around and "think" about what they're supposed to do instead of getting out there and just doing it.
